Dear colleague,
Well the summer holidays are now over and the eLene-TT team is hard at work preparing a number of events for the coming months. The most important of these is :: the eLene-TT European symposium on teacher training and the innovative use of ICT in Higher Education :: This will take place in Paris, France on Thursday November 23rd 2006, at Université Paris Dauphine. Learn about the eLene-TT approach to ICT-supported teacher training. Discover the eLene-TT online Teacher Training Centre. Find out what other projects are doing in the field. Hear about strategic trends from leading practitioners and academics. Meet peers and build your network. For more information and to register for the symposium, please visit our website: www.elene-tt.net/symposium.htm We look forward to seeing you in Paris! :: Other events on the eLene-TT agenda :: *Next project meeting: Barcelona, September 28th and 29th* The eLene-TT work package leaders will be getting together to finalise the symposium programme, to review the project results and to work on refining the eLene-TT Online Teacher Training Centre. *Online workshop: podcasting and blogs together, is it possible? October 9th to 16th* Online blog discussion and practical podcasting activities. Podcasting has become a new trend for distributing digital material to students and used as a learning tool. Benefits with the use of podcasting are both flexibility and mobility. Blogs have also had influence as a tool for student's reflection and as a discussion board. The aim of this workshop is to combine those two technologies with common tools that are used in the daily work for teachers in e-learning environments and to discuss the pedagogical implications. Target group: 20 European teacher trainers. To enrol for this workshop, please contact: peter.bergstrom@educ.umu.se *TICE 2006, Toulouse, France, October 25th-27th* Deborah Arnold will be presenting the eLene-TT Online Teacher Training Centre and the results of the project at the international congress TICE 2006. http://inpact.inp-toulouse.fr/TICE2006/anglais/index.htm If you would like to share your own experience with us and the community, or if you would like to know more about the project, please feel free to contact us!
